Helen Webb was a local cancer patient who passed away in 1993 at the age of 29. After her death, her family pledged to raise money to ensure that all cancer patients in Leicestershire and Rutland had access to emotional support and information.
The Trust set up in Helen’s memory purchased Helen Webb House on Westleigh Road. Leicester in 1999, providing a base for Sue Young Cancer Support to provide services and support to local people and their families.
Helen’s legacy ensures that each year Sue Young Cancer Support can help hundreds of local people affected by cancer.
